1988 Belarus; Soviet Union 80 minutes Belarusian

The universe of the families of young Soviet conscripts who did not return from Afghanistan. The insurmountable pain of the mothers, sisters, wives, who express their trauma and problems of living since their loved ones’ disappearance. Those who returned, often mutilated, ask themselves what role they were made to play in the conflict and what the future holds for them. An uncompromising statement on a war that the people neither understood nor identified with.
