1991 United States 116 minutes English

Delbert, Bill, Lyman and Roscoe Ward, aged between 59 and 71, have always lived in a 4o hectare farm right at the middle of the state of New York. Those naive and almost illiterate bachelors live in a two-room ramshackle shed with neither running water nor the telephone. Delbert and Bill have shared the same bed since childhood. In the night of June 6, 1990, Bill was found dead in his bed. He had been strangled. Delbert was arrested the folloxing morning after he confessed to the murder. For the next ten months, he then claimed he was innocent of the murder he had confessed to. According to the 499 inhabitants of Munnsville, Derlbert was deceived into signing a document he could not read. They set up a defence committee and collected 10.000 dollars to have Delbert released on bail. The trial is beginning on March 18, 1991. Is Delbert guilty?
