An old mechanic has been crushed to death under the wheels of a train. A commission of inquiry is charged with bringing to light the details of his death. Will the truth as to the real personality of the railwayman, Orzechowski, finally become known? This fiction was inspired by real events decribed in the short documentary film Kolejarskie slowo (A Railwayman’s World).
