The father arrived from Kabylia in 1948, at a time when cows still grazed at Aulnay-sous-Bois. The mother came to join him in 1954. In their small bungalow, far from the housing estate, they set down their roots. What have they handed down to their eight children and ten grandchildren? Religion? No. Their language? Very little.
