Parlez-moi d’amour

Mireille Hannon

2000 France 52 minutes French

“It seems that we are half creatures of habit, half creatures of dreams. We navigate between a concrete stability that protects and imprisons us, and the freedom of imagination which can invent for us a different self. Asking one simple question about ideal love led to encounters with total strangers. The chosen place was the Reuilly Gardens in the 12th district of Paris. It became a moment for listening. Spontaneity, sincerity and diversity were given priority. As answers progressed, a kind of transfer took place. After all, what is our own conception of ideal love?” (Mireille Hannon)
