Sherman’s March: an Improbable Search for Love

Ross McElwee travels to Georgia and Northern Carolina to make a film on the existing traces left by General Sherman’s bloody march to the sea in 1854. However, his initial intentions are thrown off course by the end of a love affair. He finally decides to juxtapose the General’s itinerary with the more personal subject of his own search for love.
