The French woman, Alima Bakhta, born of Algerian parents, goes back in time and shares with us her uncommon destiny. She recalls her childhood in the Nanterre slums, the poverty, the shame and living conditions of her family and other Algerians during the Algerian War. Feelings torn between a love of tradition and the improbable hope of going back to Algeria. More importantly, she recalls taking part in the demonstration of 17th October 1961, accompanied by her mother and sister’
