It was theatrically releases in France on February 20, 2013 (distribution France Zeugma Films, distribution internationale Cats & Docs).

It was nominated in the Documentary Feature category at the 85th Oscars (Los Angeles, United-States, February 24, 2013).

It won the Audience Award at IFI Stranger than Fiction Dublin Documentary Festival (Ireland, August 2012), the Van Leer Group Foundation Award for best documentary at Jerusalem Film Festival (Israel, June 2012), the Audience Award at the Doc/Fest Sheffield (United Kingdom, June 2012), the World Cinema Directing Award Documentary at Sundance film festival (USA, January 2012), the Audience Award and a Special jury Mention at the IDFA (Netherlands, December 2011).
