“Cha Fang” – Awards and international festivals

Zhu Rikun’s film Cha Fang (The Questioning), International Short Film Competition and Special mention to the Short Film Award, Cinéma du réel 2013, won the Bill Douglas Award at Glasgow Short Film Festival (Scotland, February-March 2014), the special mention of the Asian New Force Category at IFVA, Hong Kong Independent Film and Video Festival (Hong-Kong, February-March 2014) and the Best Documentary Short Award at the Festival dei Popoli, Florence (Italy, November-December 2013).

It was presented at the following festivals: Freedom Film Festival (Malaysia, 6 – 14 September 2014), IDFA – International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (the Netherlands, November-December 2013), Viennale (Austria, October-November 2013), Internationalen Kurzfilmtage Winterthur (Switzerland, November 2013), CPH:DOX (Copenhagen, Denmark, November 2013), Doclisboa (Portugal, October-November 2013), DMZ Korean International Documentary Film Festival (South Korea, October 2013), Ânûû-rû âboro, festival international du cinéma des peuples (New Caledonia, October 2013), Message to Man Film Festival, Saint Petersburg (Russia, September 2013), Documenta Madrid (Spain, May 2013).

It was also screened as part of the “Chinese Realities/Documentary Visions” retrospective at the MoMA, New-York (USA, on May 26th 2013).
