          In 1965, the Ministry of Education plans to modify the university system, which will mean longer studies and heavier programmes. The four protagonists of the film are poor students who work full time during the day and follow evening classes. They feel that they are discriminated against by this government policy. Ogawa takes a look at life on the campus, at young people’s hopes and expectations, as well as at the difficulties they have in moving into action.
