Music as the vehicle for the problems of society, in the border region between Texas and Mexico : from a style going back to the Mexican revolution to that of rodeos and bars, with emphasis on the endless amount of music linked to the clandestine immigration in the United States, known as the “smuggling songs”. The myths and legends, acts and gestures of the “Tex-Mex” border people live and relive through all these kinds of music.
