A documentary about a small society – fifteen adults and a boy at the age of nine – who live isolated in the village of Gásadalur on the Faroe Islands “at the edge of the Western world where Europe meets the Atlantic Ocean”, the last settlement without road links. In the film, nature and man’s intercourse with nature play a major rol, in a land vibrant with legends.
