“In 1975, I made my first documentary film about this gypsy tribe, made up of the Kanalas and Lingurà r families. Twenty-five years later, I returned to show them this film. Today, they still proudly call themselves the Baiach Tribe, which in their forgotten language, no longer spoken by their children or grandchildren, means the ‘Woodworker Tribe'”. (András Solymos)
