Filmed in one day – 28 March 1971, during the grand march by the Temuco farmers – this is one of Ruiz’ rare activist films, as one of the filmmakers commissioned by the Popular Unity. The subject is the outburst of joy following the promulgation of a law granting full citizenship rights to the Mapuche Indians. (Federico Rossin)
