Barberousse mes sœurs…

In 1982, Hadj Rahim made the feature film Serkadji portraying Barberousse prison, where hundreds of FLN fighters were jailed and executed. On 3rd October 1985, the former women inmates were invited to a screening of the film. Hassen Bouabdellah filmed their reactions and criticisms concerning the conditions of their detention. What concerns them most, however, is their role as activists, which they feel was not made clear in the film.
