Shot in steely black and white, the first feature length film by Ico Costa (whose Nyo Vweta Nafta won the Short film Award at Cinéma du Réel last year) is a hypnotic and immersive concert film documenting a musical performance by Rahu, an experimental project led by Alex Zhang Hungtai, fomerly of Dirty Beaches fame. A film about movement, complicity, and performance, BARULHO, ECLIPSE is also about mysterious, transporting moments of collective creation as the music and energy rise.
