Beschreibung einer Insel

A group of young Germans and Americans land on a New Hebrides island, in the middle of the South Seas. They plan to establish a comprehensive description of the island in terms of (Western) fields of knowledge. Their work and drawings are to be published. Their contact with the Melanisians causes their certainties to fade, and they start to question not only the islanders but themselves. Adventures, enquiry and ironical critique, a journey into Utopia.
