Cien Niños esperando un tren
- 1988

The film follows a workshop for filmmaking and cinema history, conducted by Prof. Alicia Vega for about one hundred children in one of the poorest slums in Santiago, Chile. It incorporates the clips from classical movies which are shown to the children (Lumière brothers, Chaplin and Disney). The intercutting between the joy of the fantasy world of cinema and the personal portraits of the children and their famalies make for a poetic comment on the social circumstances of the poor in Chile.
