In 1963, Tokyo is in full reconstruction so as to prepare the city’s infrastructure for the 1964 Olympic Games. One year prior to the event, various districts are still under mud, the street sewers still above ground and the main streets are not even paved. The reconstruction work is in full swing and must imperatively be finished on time. The taxi-drivers lend a hand in this effort to transform Tokyo.
