El Misionero

For some fifteen years, a Polish missionary, Father Casimir has ministered his flock in a remote area of the Bolivian Andes. He is the only Westerner to have contact with Indians, whose customs and vision of the world are infused with a belief in magic that has remained unchanged for five hundred years. For a whole year, the camera follows him as he visits his parishioners in conditions that are often extreme both physically and psychologically. He navigates mountain roads and fast-flowing torrents, deals with the unpredictable behaviour of some of his flock, solitude and disarray, but also finds moments of happiness.
