“On Saturday, 29 September 1990, in Madrid, a man is on his way to work. His name is Antonio Lopez and his job, which involves both manual and visual skills, is painting pictures. The film-maker watches him work. Making no attempt to introduce false mystery or suspense, he simply shows all the gestures, techniques, organisation and routine which are needed to begin a new canvass.
