Following the bankruptcy of Videoton, the giant Hungarian electronics company, Laszlo Szolgai, former supervisor, and five men from his team pool their redundancy pay to set up Elektra, a small cooperative. Four years go by… “If, in a happier age, someone wishes to find out what happened here in the early nineties, what those changing years full of confusion were like, I would much sooner recommend that he consider the story of Elektra, how the company was established and how it managed to develop, than that he watched the broadcasts of the Parliamentary sessions or any political news programmes.
