Three variations on the relationships between the ruling power and the Army in 20th century Portugal. Finished only in 1982, Gestos & Fragmentos is a filmic epitaph to the Revolution: it is the last produion from one of the film cooperatives (Grupo Zero) created during the revolutionary period, as well as the last film of the Cinema Novo, which developed in the 1960s. An essay that throws a retrospective light on Portuguese society.
