Homeland ir Post-Scriptum

A lyrical description of the struggle for independence across the three Baltic republics: the film mixes sequences taken at the song festivals symbolising the awakening of nationalism, images filmed by the director during the 1990 events in Vilnius, and testimonies from various people whose destinies were shattered by sovietisation and mass deportations. After the events of January 1991 in Riga, during which the cameraman-director Andris Slapins was mortally wounded, a post-scriptum was added to the film.
