I Love $ – Amsterdam – New York – Hong Kong Genève

Starting with four cities from the real world, an omnipresent metropolis is built up, held together by the news, wich never leaves us for the duration of the film. In this metropolis, battles are waged for daily bread. Little men tell of their unattainable dreams, while big men set out their financial philosophies: a continual interplay of abstract signs which nevertheless determine the course of events in the world. This interplay is sustained by concrete, physical work, mostly invisible, and by indestructible myths. This biggest myth of all is that of perpetual and unlimited growth.
