Fumio Kamei describes the horror caused by the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, filming the daily life of the victims ten years after the tragedy. Those who were exposed to radiation are worried about their future, and many of them are suffering from leukaemia. Their families are ever-present, anguished and concerned by a daily existence that hovers between the horror of certain death and the joy of living… despite everything.
