A light crew, comprising a director-camera operator and a sound engineer, followed the editorial staff of Le Monde newspaper during the 1995 Presidential elections. It was a privileged observatory for examining the problems of information and the responsibility of the press. As events and consequences unroll (opinion poll trends, and particularly the big televised debate between Jacques Chirac and Lionel Jospin), the film shows how the journalists position themselves in relation to the different candidates, and to what extent the small world of politics and they themselves are aware of the influence they can wield.
