Karayuki-san

Imamura questions a former 74-year-old Japanese prostitute who was sold by her parents at the age of 17 to traffickers from Singapore, the city where she has stayed ever since. She recounts her life of hell without emotion and takes the filmmaker to visit some of her old colleagues.
