In October 1933, the biggest agricultural strike in the history of California brought together 12,000 to 18,000 cotton workers. The film shows the living conditions, the picket lines, the police repression, and finishes with a rousing speech by the young Dorothy Ray Healey, who later became a well-known Communist activist fighting for the rights of the Chicanos and the Blacks.
