La Campagne de Provence

From June 1991 to March 1992, a violent nine-month political battle in Provence during the 1992 regional elections in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. Over these months, the film follows all the contending parties, and particularly the Front National: what is at stake for the F.N. is not only seizing power in France’s second-largest region but also making this hoped-for victory the first stepping-stone to the conquest of central government.
