Home distillation in the Mâconnais country. The film follows the “brandevinnier” who travels from village to village each winter with his old travelling steam still, stopping to distill the peasants’ marc and fruit. A look at one of the oldest rural traditions, which is now disappearing, since law has restricted the right to distill to the older people who already were granted this “privilege”.
