At Las Palmas, in the province of Chaco, the last sugar-cane harvest for the Sugar Company was in 1987. Ten years on from the factory’s closure, the filmmaker returns to the village. The film shows the currently difficult and precarious situation of the town’s inhabitants. Men and women live on the edge of survival, but they never give up, they keep resisting.
