Le Roi, la vache et le bananier

In Ngweshe in the east of Zaire, wealth is measured in terms of how many cows and how large a banana plantation one owns. The daily life of this traditional African kingdom and its encounter with the hazards of modern life are portrayed with commentaries by the filmmaker and Makura, a storyteller who teaches children the regional customs, as well as by the King, Mwami Pierre Weza III.
