Le Vent du sud

Young Nafissa is studying in Algiers. For the holidays, she returns to her village only to discover that her father, Si Abed, a rich landowner, has promised her in marriage to Si Malek, who is the village mayor and a powerful local figure. Nafissa rebels against this decision and decides to flee to her aunt’s in Algiers.
