Les Terriens

Waiting for the eclipse of 11th August 1999 in a Normandy village situated in the Pays de Caux region. The film is structured around the preparations for the great event: astronomers lost in the pasturelands, tourists equipped with their special glasses and the country folk ever-philosophical. This moving, exultant film talks, in a round-about way, about nature, the place now given to country people and how the working-lives of these freedom-loving folk are changing.
