Making Biscuit

The film documents the skill, pride and pleasure of women working in a blue-collar industry. The filmmaker worked in a biscuit factory and has used her own experiences and oral history, interviews with co-workers to expand the view of women employed in the food processing and packaging industry. It does not deny that factory work is often boring, dangerous and exploitative, but focusses on the women’s resilience, friendship and philosophies of work.
