Ningen johatsu

Imamura and his crew visit the police station where some thirty thousand missing persons files are kept. They choose the file of a certain Mr. Oshima, a sales representative who disappeared after pocketing a modest sum of money that was due to his company. Oshima went missing six months before his wedding with Yoshie who works as clerk in another office. Imamura proposes to the young woman to go in search of her fiancé. She quits her job and takes part in the filming.
