Based on a stereotyped vision of the “couple”, made up of his (musician) friend Gilles Petit and the latter’s companion Catherine Cukierman, the director wonders about the images he films. It is during a trip in India – to which Gilles regularly returns to meet the musicians who taught him the “ragas” – that the director gets the feeling that Catherine is no longer “beside” Gilles, but is elsewhere. Where ? She tells him on their return to France.
