Qaleh

This film, commissioned by the Institute for Women, depicts the distressing life led by prostitutes in the Qaleh quarter. As the film was seized just after the shooting had started, the negatives disappeared until 1980. By using photographs taken by Kaveh Golestan at the time of the shooting, it became possible to complete the film.
