Burnett’s first film follows a day in the life of a few friends in the Los Angeles ghetto: a fight, a car in need of repair, a stubborn washing machine… Andy, Gene, their friends and entourage struggle to cope with the destitution in the ghetto. The first signs of a unique style where each scene is aimed at bringing out the truth of situations and people.
