The Palestinian painter Kamal Boullatta, exiled in the United States for eighteen years, returns for a short visit to Jerusalem, where he was born, together with the filmmaker, who is Jewish. Next to the emotion of this return home, they are divided by the daily reality of war and the weight of the «occupation».
