Neil Fitzwilliam was severely wounded in a car accident. He comes back home after a whole year spent in hospital. He is seriously handicapped, and his family discover he no longer is the lively man he used to be and they can still have a glimpse of in films they shot before the accident. The estrangement goes deeper as Neil suffers from partial paralysis and bouts of amnesia. Neil, his wife Adrienne and their two sons, Blythe and Dagon, display all the pain and frustration an estranged family can feel.
