A portrait of Savithri Rajan, a non-performing artist who plays the musical instrument, veena. She belongs to a well-known family of patrons of music in the South. The film is built on her musical memories, her reminiscences of her parents and her own life and her attitude to music. It is interspersed with visual elements that are part of the culture and ethos to which she belongs.
