A province in north eastern Portugal, united in its historical and secular traditions with its neighbouring country by the River Douro The children, the mothers, the women, the aged, the house, the land….Everyday life, the imaginary, the gradual extinction of traditional professions, the dependence on agriculture…. Time and distance. The presence of the absent, of those who’ve left in search of other horizons. A poem inspired by Trás-os-Montes, and acted out by its people.
