Maria, a 57-year-old Russian, has been settled in Kazakhstan for several years. She now lives in a yourt with her third husband, a shepherd. The eight children from her two previous marriages, now grown up and independent, little appreciate their mother’s third mariage. But Maria does not want to grow old alone.
