Halloween in South America according to Ben Russell. A Lightning Bolt concert in the heart of the jungle, in the Maroon village of Malobi, in Suriname, provides the occasion for an intriguing ceremony to the god Pan. Dancing, masked processions and possession, filmed with a 16 mm shoulder camera, using direct sound and a single-take sequence, in the same movement shifting from the one to the many, from the general to the particular, from the modern to the traditional, Trypps # 6 is a tribute to the “ciné-transe” of Jean Rouch.
