Japanese-style factories in Peugeot-Sochaux and Mulhouse recounted by factory workers. Unskilled and professional workers, immigrants and temporary hands occupy centrestage in the film. Juxtaposing past and present, the film documents the evolution of working class culture, so mythified in the 60’s, and brings to life a working class memory confronted with modernisation.
