Kenzo Okuzaki is one of the rare survivors of the Japanese soldiers who were posted in New Guinea during the war. Repatriated, he runs a small business in Kobe, but is unable to forget the fate that befell his fellow soldiers. In 1969, to draw attention to their story, he throws balls of pachinko at the Emperor Hirohito.
