Za’feran=Zafaran

Saffron is a fragile and ephemeral plant, difficult to grow and requiring careful attention. A peasant from the eastern desert of Iran takes us through the growth cycle of the plant, from preparing the earth to the time it is sold. A visually exuberant style, evocative of Persian miniatures, characterizes the film.
