Canary Island Bananas

Leacock made this film when he was 14, on his father’s banana plantation in the Canary Islands. At the time, it caught the attention of Robert Flaherty (whose daughters attended the same school), who worked as a cameraman with Leacock on ‘Louisiana Story’ in 1948.
